Stefan Weirich is the co-founder & CEO at mimic, a robotics and AI start-up based in Zurich and San Francisco, developing frontier physical AI for robots that can handle complex, dexterous tasks in manufacturing and logistics. Having raised more than $20 million in capital from international VCs, mimic is positioning itself as the leading European player in the global race toward general-purpose robotics.
Stefan holds two master’s degrees from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and RWTH Aachen University, and brings together experience from global corporations like Siemens Healthineers, early-stage start-ups such as RobCo, and cutting-edge research at ETH Zurich. His work in robotics and additive manufacturing has led to multiple patents and publications, including in Nature.
