Axel is currently Venture Partner at IMC Ventures, a corporate venture capital fund that invests in the maritime and logistics sectors. He also looks after the Octave Wellbeing Economy Fund which invests in Agrifood tech, Mental Wellbeing and Sustainability. The funds make direct investments in start-ups and invests venture capital funds.
As Innovation Lead at TPC, Axel is responsible for organising and scouting for new technologies for the various business units such as shipping, logistics, real estate, wellbeing, and others. He helped set up a central pool of funding for start-up proof-of-concepts in TPC, and the partnership with Studio 30 50, a maritime venture studio.
Prior to TPC, Axel has had 10 years of investment experience, previously setting up Momentum Venture Capital, a transport-focused corporate VC where he made over 20 investments in start-ups and funds globally. Momentum had successfully catalysed strategic outcomes such as the formation of a cross-border joint venture, a test bed and new venture launch, and the co-founding of an industry-led national innovation challenge.
